Proverbs 31 Challenge Day 10: An Attitude of Influence

The Proverbs woman does not have to physically demand authority. Her voice, power and actions are driven by her attitude of influence. The confidence in her God given abilities and renewed hope in Christ provide the security to positively influence the people around her.

“You are the salt of the earth. But if the salt loses its saltiness, how can it be made salty again? It is no longer good for anything, except to be thrown out and trampled underfoot. You are the light of the world. A town built on a hill cannot be hidden.

Neither do people light a lamp and put it under a bowl. Instead they put it on its stand, and it gives light to everyone in the house. In the same way, let your light shine before others, that they may see your good deeds and glorify your Father in heaven."

Matthew 5:13-16

Have you ever encountered another person that made you want to be a better woman? They may not have spoken a word but their overall demeanor and attitude influenced and ignited a shift within you.

The Proverbs woman is this person. Her attitude is one of hope, not despair, and people attract to her confident and unwavering faith. Unlike the world, she and God are on the same page. Her shifts are Holy spirit driven and when He moves, she moves. This is how she has lasting impact on the people around her.

She’s uninterested in the rat race of the world but divinely walks in the lane God has set apart for her. As Proverbs women, we have the ability to positively influence our home, community and workplace for the glory of God. Although unpopular to status quo, our attitude of influence can shape the most hostile of environments.

“in all things showing yourself to be a pattern of good works; in doctrine showing integrity, reverence, incorruptibility,[a] sound speech that cannot be condemned, that one who is an opponent may be ashamed, having nothing evil to say of [b]you.”

Titus 2:7-8
