Proverbs 31 Challenge Day 15: Willing Hands

“She stretches out her hands to the distaff, And her hand holds the spindle.”

Proverbs 31:19 NKJV

The Proverbs woman understands that willing hands bring monetary and intangible wealth for the building of her home. She discerns the households needs timely and is resourceful to obtain them, unintimidated by the manual labored tasks required.

“He who has a slack hand becomes poor, But the hand of the diligent makes rich.”

Proverbs 10:4 NKJV

Her industrious nature and God given strength fuel creativity and energy required to complete tasks with efficiency, cheer and diligence. By heeding the voice of the Lord, she is never caught off guard for the well being of her household. Using discernment she determines if and when to work outside the home to bring wealth to her household.

“The hand of the diligent will rule, But the lazy man will be put to forced labor.”

Proverbs 12:24 NKJV

While rest has its place, the Proverbs woman is not influenced by laziness. The spirit of slothfulness has no place in her life as she constantly scans her home for spiritual and physical improvement. She understands she is in continuous build mode.

“The wise woman builds her house, But the foolish pulls it down with her hands.”

Proverbs 14:1 NKJV

"The desire of the lazy man kills him, For his hands refuse to labor."

Proverbs 21:25 NKJV

As excellent women we have the honor of utilizing our hands to build our home equity. Even routine tasks such as laundering, cooking, and cleaning build and comfort the household's resting place. Whether working within or outside of the home, the Proverbs woman skillfully uses her hands to edify and progress her home for the glory of God.
