Proverbs 31 Challenge Day 26: The Why

“Her children rise up and call her blessed; Her husband also, and he praises her:”

‭‭Proverbs‬ ‭31:28‬ ‭NKJV‬‬

Why rise early?

Why place the Lord as priority?

Why maintain the body in exercise and nutrition?

Why use words of kindness when fiery darts can be released to relay your perspective?

Defining the "why" requires introspection of the mind, body and soul. As our spirit is reconciled with Christ when He is accepted as Savior, the soul is linked with iniquity (backward thinking) desiring deeds of the flesh. The training of the soul and flesh to the spirit congeal as one walks with the Lord. If one’s “why” is not defined and applied, the spirit will make it to heaven but the body will never experience heaven on earth.

"Watch and pray, lest you enter into temptation. The spirit indeed is willing, but the flesh is weak.”

Matthew 26:41 NKJV

"For the flesh lusts against the Spirit, and the Spirit against the flesh; and these are contrary to one another, so that you do not do the things that you wish."

Galatians 5:17 NKJV

Analyzing your "why" will help hold your form when fiery darts of the enemy try to circumvent the meshing of your soul to the Holy Spirit. It will help tame the tongue when it desires to shout selfish gain. It will ground your faith when questioned and ridiculed. It will help you stay afloat when you step out on faith entrusting your entire being and livelihood with the Lord.

Know your why.

As excellent women the why should never be self-seeking solely to inherit the promises of God but should profess Christ in all we do. Christ paid the ultimate sacrifice proving His divinity which we can partake in with a solid "why". The Proverbs woman’s husband and children call her blessed because she applies her why with wisdom and understanding. She is fully committed to Christ, steadfast in her faith and walk with the Lord.

“according to my earnest expectation and hope that in nothing I shall be ashamed, but with all boldness, as always, so now also Christ will be magnified in my body, whether by life or by death. For to me, to live is Christ, and to die is gain.”

‭‭Philippians‬ ‭1:20-21‬ ‭NKJV‬‬

"looking unto Jesus, the author and finisher of our faith, who for the joy that was set before Him endured the cross, despising the shame, and has sat down at the right hand of the throne of God."

Hebrews 12:2 NKJV
