“Give her of the fruit of her hands, And let her own works praise her in the gates.”
Proverbs 31:31 NKJV
Like an ambassador completing an assignment or athlete securing the gold medal, our goal is to hear “well done” from the Father. Earth is a temporary resting place yet testing ground to determine our faithfulness to God and His will. Our spirits will enter heaven once the Lord is accepted into our lives however the true test is determined by how well time was spent outside of heaven according to His will.
When pursuant to seeking the will of God, by default access is gained to everything. As his daughters we hold the keys to the kingdom and by faith we forgo our human wisdom in exchange for His.
"But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you."
Matthew 6:33 NKJV
Living from this perspective prevent the idolization of careers, money, status, accomplishments, husbands and even children. One can become overly engrossed in earthly activities and relationships shifting the focus to how much one can do and obtain versus how much one can serve God.
As the 31 day challenge closes, ask yourself the following questions:
Am I in full submission of God’s will for my life?
Am I holding onto something God is attempting to remove from me?
Do I idolize my career, family, money, status, etc. above the will of God?
What was the last thing the Lord instructed me to do? Am I in pursuit of it?
If you feel a tug from the Lord in a certain area, surrender. You may have to leave relationships, mindsets and tangible items but God promises to take care of you.
“Behold, I am with you and will keep you wherever you go, and will bring you back to this land; for I will not leave you until I have done what I have spoken to you.”
Genesis 28:15 NKJV
The Proverbs woman understands her great zeal and work is derived from the love and respect of the Father and submission to His will. Human wisdom thinks it knows best but only leads to flesh satisfaction and spiritual frustration. As excellent women our goal is to walk hand in hand with our Savior for He alone provides the ultimate quench to our spirit and soul.
“His lord said to him, ‘Well done, good and faithful servant; you were faithful over a few things, I will make you ruler over many things. Enter into the joy of your lord.’”
Matthew 25:21 NKJV
