Staying Connected

“I am the vine, you are the branches. He who abides in Me, and I in him, bears much fruit; for without Me you can do nothing. If anyone does not abide in Me, he is cast out as a branch and is withered; and they gather them and throw them into the fire, and they are burned.

If you abide in Me, and My words abide in you, you will ask what you desire, and it shall be done for you. By this My Father is glorified, that you bear much fruit; so you will be My disciples.”

‭‭John‬ ‭15:5-8‬ NKJV

Ever felt as if you were withering away from God? It may be because you are no longer connected to the source. During an intense weather storm lights begin to flicker, signaling a blockage in the electric power. If the storm intensifies, the electricity powers off until the entire area is is clear of the storm.

Flickering lights in our lives can come across physically as exhaustion, burnout, or fatigue. Mentally this can take the form of anxiety or depression. Ultimately both mental and physical signs signal loss of communication from the power source. As believers we are to abide in the Lord who provides our guidance, protection and hope.

If you have lost signal, slow down! As women we can run 100mph with no break in sight. A day of rest was implemented from the first days of creation. If our Heavenly Father rested as His image bearers we too need rest. Clear your 100 item to do list and just sit with Him. You don’t have to say a word.

Simply abide in Him and allow the Lord to wrap you in His loving arms.

“He who dwells in the secret place of the Most High Shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty.”

‭‭Psalms‬ ‭91:1‬ ‭NKJV‬‬
