Healing Scriptures When You Need Them Most

Last Saturday my daughter came down with the flu and the next day it hit me like a brick wall. It has been quite the experience with the typical body aches, fever, chills, and sweats. While my husband has been a trooper handling the daily responsibilities of household chores, lunch making, dressing the kids... when a child wants their mom, they want mom. Despite wanting to fall into a pity party while I nursed our toddler and comforted our flu-stricken 4 year old, I turned to the word of God as my strength declaring His word over my family's body, mind and spirit. Using the Sid Roth Healing Scriptures eBook I have been standing on and speaking the following scriptures with authority: “If I serve the Lord my God, He will bless my bread and my water. And He will take sickness away from the midst of me. He will fulfill the number of my days.” Exodus 23:25-26 "For all the promises of God in Him are yes, and in Him Amen (so be it)..." 2 Corinthians 1:20 "Surely He has borne my griefs (Hebrew: “pains”) And carried [away] my sorrows (Hebrew: “sicknesses”);... ...And by His stripes I am healed." Isaiah 53:4-5 “God has given me the keys of the kingdom of heaven; and whatever I forbid to be done on earth shall have been already forbidden to be done in heaven and whatever I permit to be done on earth, shall have already been permitted to be done in heaven.” Matthew 16:19 [Sickness is already forbidden in heaven and in Jesus’ name I forbid it {name the specific condition} in my body!]. “No weapon [sickness is a weapon of the enemy] formed against me shall prosper...This is my heritage as a servant of the Lord...” Isaiah 54:17 God never told us that our lives would be all peaches and cream but that He would use trials and tribulations to ultimately strengthen and establish us for His glory! “And after you have suffered a little while, the God of all grace, who has called you to his eternal glory in Christ, will himself restore, confirm, strengthen, and establish you.” 1 Peter 5:10
